Research Area

  • Detailed study of the vapor-solid growth mechanism, particularly in synthesizing II-VI semiconducting one-dimensional nanostructures and their functionalized use in optoelectronic or electrochemical/biomedical applications.
  • Functionalization of nanostructured materials, including use as solid state sensors.
  • Analytical methods with electron microscopes (including TEM, HR-TEM, SEM, AFM/STM).
  • Biomedical applications of nanoparticles.
